2015-01-aead-medical-centre-ouagadougouThe health centre we support, in the outskirts of Ouagadougou, serves a rapidly growing population of some 120,000 people, including many young people who have moved to the capital to seek work.

The centre provides vital ante and post natal care as well as maternity services, with over 100 women attending clinics each week.

Care is on offer ’24/7′, throughout the year and, for most local people, represents the only medicstaff-at-health-centreal services they can access.  Yet the midwives and nurses are working with inadequate and outdated equipment and, as a current priority, we are seeking to re-equip the maternity suite, as well as offering further opportunities for training and development for the staff.
