28 young people have just celebrated the successful completion of our most recent ‘Job Booster’ training course.
Offered as part of our aim to improve livelihoods in Burkina Faso, the training in sewing was a mixture of practical learning and classroom based study, designed to prepare the participanrts to start out for themselves in their chosen profession.
Other courses, in IT skills and masonry, have also just been completed by students in our two vocational training centres and further courses are planned to meet the growing demand.
It is clear from analysis of the success of those who have attended previous courses that our graduates stand a much greater chance of either getting a locally based job or successfully starting their own business; helping to reduce poverty, support livelihoods and tackle the considerable problem of youth ‘un’ and ‘under’ employment in Burkina Faso.
