Thanks to the generous support of a UK trust, we have built a new playground at Soulyale, a remote rural primary school in the north west of Burkina Faso.

The school is growing rapidly, with 300 primary aged children set to be on roll by 2021. We have been supporting a major expansion programme there with, for example, new classrooms and toilets already built.  The school also had no playground equipment, but, thanks to the grant, swings, a slide, a climbing frame, football goals and other items have been installed, with the pupils helping to choose what they wanted.

The school are delighted with the opportunities the new playground gives the children to relax and socialise between lessons.  As the pictures show, the playground is already being well used!
