Access to education can be tough in Burkina Faso, particularly for girls.  A recent United Nations report has provided stark figures for the country, suggesting only about 1% of all girls in the country have the opportunity to finish secondary education.

It was therefore encouraging to see the recent G7 summit pledge funds to support girls education in the poorest countries in the world, but there remains much still to be done.

Our bursary scheme has been supporting girls like Jedidia (pictured) for a number if years and we would love to increase the number to whom we are able to offer the chance of an education and a transformed future.
