We are working to improve the conditions at the medical centre we support for both patients and staff, with one of the priorities they have identified being the provision of latrines and washing facilities.

The Bethanie centre, which serves hundreds of patients each week, currently has no toilets or washing facilities on site.  Lack of access to basic hygiene, particularly amongst young children, pregnant mothers and others with pre existing health conditions represents a significant risk to health, and one we are determined to tackle.

That is why, as a current focus, we are seeking funds to construct male and female toilets and washing facilities at the clinic (see artists impression left).  Thanks to the generosity of a number of trusts, we are well on the way to raising the funds we need, but any support you are able to offer here to allow us to start the work would be appreciated.
